Frizzy Design Co. began in 2026 out of a desire to create better branding for individuals and small businesses. The desire to help folks like you bring an idea to light. To create a brand worthy of patronage and longevity.

Alex has worked in the brewery field for the last 6 years, but when the opportunity arose he decied to branch out on his own forming Frizzy Design Co.

The Light Buld design came from a spark, an idea brought to light. You'll notice the edison-style bulb giving a vintage appeal–just a little nod to past creatives and their lasting mark. the fillament in the middle forms an 'F' while the left edge, with use of negative space, also forms an 'F'. The right side uses the bulb cap to form a 'd' which ties into the edge of the bulb. Not only does it showcase the brand initials, it is seemlessly incorporated into the brand concept and vision.

About Alex

Alex Frizzell has been independently designing for over eight years, turning big ideas into bold visuals and helping brands find the spark that makes them unforgettable. From musical artists and breweries to passion projects built from the ground up, his work is rooted in storytelling, strong design instincts, and the belief that great branding should feel effortless—but intentional.

After moving to Nashville, Alex quickly lit the fuse with collaborations across a wide range of artists and brands, eventually finding a creative home at Black Abbey Brewing Co., where his artistry truly had room to shine. Over the years, he refined his craft through hands-on merchandise design—creating everything from shirts and hoodies to hats, stickers, and beyond—learning what it takes to make designs that don’t just look good, but actually connect with people.

In 2025, Alex had the opportunity to help lead a full rebrand for Black Abbey, diving deep into the heart of the company—its customer base, identity, and what people truly loved about the brand. Rebranding is a delicate process that takes patience, clarity, and a lot of iteration, but through thoughtful concept development and refinement, Alex brought the vision to life with the Lutherhaus design—now the face of the brand. Inspired by traditional European brewing aesthetics and grounded in a modern American feel, the result is a brand identity that feels both timeless and instantly recognizable.

Now, Alex is ready to bring that same energy to your project—whether you’re launching something new, leveling up your look, or finally ready to build a brand that feels like you.
